The company is offering 20 percent of its expanded equity, which
translates into 17.27 million shares.The IPO is expected to yield
between Rs.16.4 billion ($374 million) and Rs.19.4 billion ($443
million).Jet Airways, which has a 43 percent share of the domestic
aviation market, plans to use proceeds of the public offer to buy new
planes, expand services within India and overseas and retire some
debt.Launched in 1993, Jet Airways competes with public sector Indian
Airlines, Air Sahara and no-frills Air Deccan in the domestic skies.
It has also firmed up plans to launch international services
connecting London, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
